Photography Class

I’m sorry to say that my photography class was over tonight. I had a marvelous instructor and lots of fun. For a person starting from ground zero as far as skills go, I think the concepts are beginning to click in my head. A couple of weeks ago, our assignment was close-up photography and since Tennessee’s state flower was in full bloom at the time, that is what I chose to photograph for my assignment. I love our flower, the Bearded Iris, and although I don’t have any in my yard, I found a nice bed of them and set up in that precious window of time just before sunset. I was pretty pleased with the result.

Aperture Priority
shutter speed 1/800

focal length 70mm
ISO 1600
exposure bias 0.00

Last week we went on a very interesting photo shoot at a unique Bed and Breakfast in Martin, TN. If I am able to get permission from the proprietors, I’ll post a few of the photos I took there with a link to their website. Maybe I’ll have the Photography page up and running in another day or so.
